Totally sort out your folk guitar skills at the 2025 "Folk & Roots" guitar retreat.
Taking place in Shrewsbury, England on the border of Wales, we invite players of all levels to attend this inclusive, fun course designed to transform your guitar playing. Whether you're a near beginner or a more advanced guitarist, you'll discover essential skills needed to take your folk, roots and acoustic guitar playing to that next level.
During the week we'll take a deep dive into the rich tapestry that makes up British, Celtic and American folk music. Using all time classic folk songs, you'll learn techniques and approaches used by legendary guitarists in the scene to get that authentic folk sound under your fingers.
For over a decade, roots music retreats has helped hundreds of guitarists to play more authentic sounding folk, roots and blues guitar whilst building confidence and a deeper understanding of music.

Roots Music Retreats courses are carefully designed to be relaxed, inclusive, inspiring and most importantly suitable for all levels of musician, from novice to advanced.
You'll receive exclusive access to online video tutorials with videos covering some of the main lessons taught on the retreat. So you won't forget any of the juicy stuff and can practice and continue learning when you get home.
